Notice of Call and Purpose
Pursuant to the authority granted to the Council of Governors under the Standard Multiple District Constitution and By-Laws of Lions Clubs International, and in keeping with the procedures and principles outlined in the MD22 Constitution and By-Laws, notice is hereby given that a Special Session of the Multiple District Convention will be convened.
Date: Saturday, January 31, 2026
Time: In conjunction with the previously scheduled Mid-Winter Conference, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Purpose
This Special Session is called for the sole and limited purpose of considering the endorsement of a candidate for International Director of Lions Clubs International. No other business shall be conducted at this session.
Authority
In accordance with Lions Clubs International policy, a special convention or session of a Multiple District may be duly called by the Council of Governors when deemed necessary. While the MD22 Constitution specifies that such endorsements ordinarily occur at the annual Multiple District Convention, this session is hereby convened and recognized as a Special Session of the currently scheduled Multiple District Convention, consistent with LCI’s Standard Multiple District Constitution and By-Laws.
Delegates and Voting
All delegate, certification, quorum, and voting procedures applicable to the annual Multiple District Convention shall apply to this Special Session to ensure fairness, consistency, and transparency.
Timeline
Voting will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. with credentialing and voting by sub district taking place at the Elks Lodge; at 1 p.m., ballots will be secured, and compilation of votes will be tallied in accordance with the rules of the MD 22 Constitution and By-Laws.
Future Ratification
Any action taken during this Special Session, including endorsement of a candidate, shall be affirmed and ratified at the next regularly scheduled Multiple District Convention to maintain harmony with the MD22 Constitution and By-Laws.
