Introducing 2025-2026 Second Vice-District Governor Donna Shelton

Lions of District 22B,

It is with deep gratitude and extreme happiness that I accept the honor of serving as Second Vice District Governor for Lions Clubs International District 22B, 2025-2026. I am equally proud to serve in the vital role of Global Action Team (GAT) Service Chair, helping to guide and support meaningful service across our district.

First and foremost, thank you, District 22B, for your trust and support in electing me as Second Vice District Governor.  I am truly honored, and I promise to give my very best in all that I do. I am committed to supporting our Lions, strengthening our clubs, and helping advance the goals and mission of this remarkable district.

My journey in Lionism began in 2011 with the Chesapeake City Lions Club. What started as a desire to give back has grown into a lifelong commitment to service, leadership, and personal growth. The values of Lionism, service, compassion, and integrity continue to guide my path.

Along the way, I have been very blessed with so many wonderful, incredible mentors, Lions, family, and friends, whose encouragement and wisdom have shaped me.

A very special thank you to PDG Bob and Lion Shirley Kidner; your guidance, support, and belief in me have meant more than words can express. And to my better half, Lion Jerry Swyka, thank you for your love, constant encouragement, understanding, and patience. My daughter and son, Lauren and Ryan McCullin, I love them so much, have been with me every step of the way, from the first time I became a Lion. I couldn’t have made this journey without ALL of you by my side.

As Second Vice District Governor and GAT Service Chair, I look forward to working side-by-side with Lions across the district to inspire creative service, uplift communities, and lead with purpose. I am especially excited to serve alongside District Governor Beth Whitelock and her Cabinet, united by her inspiring theme: “Be a Rock Star of Service."

District Governor Beth’s goals for Service include 100% Service reporting by Lions Clubs and 80% by Leo Clubs, challenging us to not just serve, but to shine. Reporting and sharing our service stories is how we amplify impact, spark new ideas, and encourage others to join us in making a difference.

Let us all strive to be Rock Stars of Service: bold, passionate, visible, and unstoppable in our commitment to others. Whether you're hosting a food drive, leading a vision screening, or mentoring a future Leo, your service matters, and it inspires.

To my fellow Lions, thank you again for this incredible opportunity. I’m excited to serve, to grow, and to support each of you as we make this a standout year for District 22B.

You don’t need to be famous to be a Rock Star — you just need the heart to serve.
