Appointment of PDG Bijoy Mahanti to Serve as 2024-2025 District Governor

At the April MD22 Convention held at the Ashore Hotel, no candidate was elected to the position of 22B District Governor for 2024-2025. 

The 22B Honorary Committee then met on Saturday, May 11th for the purpose of nominating a candidate for appointment. At the meeting, PDG Bijoy Mahanti was nominated and voted on to serve. His name was then forwarded to Lions Club International for approval.  The district has been notified that the Lions International Executive Committee has approved his appointment as District Governor of District 22-B for the 2024-2025 Lions year.  

PDG Bijoy served as District Governor of 22A for the Lion year 2021-2022 before he transferred to the Perryville Lions Club in Cecil County. This year he has served as our 22B LCIF Coordinator and is a trustee of the Lions Vision Research Foundation.  

Congratulations Lion Bijoy, thank you for your willingness to be our District Governor. We know you will serve the district well and we are here to support you.
