Dear Lions of Multiple District 22,
Let’s give Veterans and Active military members, people who have served and continue to serve our country in the military, an opportunity to serve their local communities by offering them an incentive to join a Lions Club. Multiple District 22 will reimburse the $35 new member entrance or charter fee for a qualifying U.S. Veteran or Active military member when they join a new or existing Lions club in Multiple District 22 between April 7, 2024 and June 30, 2024.
Only honorably discharged U.S. Veterans and Active military members who served or currently serve in the Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines, National Guard, Navy, or Reserves are eligible for this program. Veterans and Active military members must provide proof of military service by providing one of the following documents: DD Form 214, State or County Veterans ID Card, Dept. of Veterans Affairs ID Card, State Driver’s license designating veterans’ status, VFW membership card, American Legion membership card, or Active military ID.
Clubs seeking reimbursement must complete and submit a MD22 Veterans/Active Military Membership Certification Form. This form is available from your District Governor. The completed form must be received by the MD22 Council Treasurer, DG John Mosier, no later than June 30, 2024 to be considered for reimbursement.
